Guaranteed Ride Home

Mid-America Regional Council's RideShare program offers registered commuters a guaranteed ride home in case of emergency. Take the bus are carpool with the assurancet that if something happens at home you can get there quickly.

Bus

The Kansas City region is served by three different bus systems. All three systems have regular fixed route services, plus flexible circulator and "dial-a-ride" options.

The KC Area Transportation Authority operates Metro buses all over KCMO, the Missouri suburbs, and parts of KCK. The KCATA recently debuted the ability to plan bus trips on Google Maps, making it very easy to find out how to get from Point A to Point B.

Unified Government Transit operates local buses within Wyandotte County.

The JO runs several rush hour buses within Johnson County and to Downtown and the Plaza.

 

Carpool

Carpool Connection is a free service from the Mid-America Regional Council that matches up perspective carpoolers with people going to/from the same places.
