Epic Bike and Sport Grand Opening

We have a new bike shop in KC!  This Saturday is the grand opening for Epic Bike & Sport, a new Specialized concept store.  They are located at 6000 NW 63rd Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64151 – that’s in the new Tuileries Plaza on NW 64th Street just west of I-29.

IMBA Trail School

The International Mountain Bike Association’s roving trail building class returns to Missouri again this year.  They will be in Jefferson City May 4-6.  This is a great opportunity to learn about building and maintaining mountain bike trails.  Go do it if you can. More info

Independence Optimist Ride

This Saturday the Independence Optimist Club is putting on a bike ride and pancake breakfast fund raiser.  Several route options are available and include Lake City, Fort Osage, and Buckner.  Go early and carb load with the pancakes or stay after and partake of the carb recovery.  More info in the calendar.

Next weekend the National MS Society is hosting the League American Bicyclist’s Road 1 class here in KC. It’s an all day class that teaches you all about riding in traffic safely.
